Chad Gable Embraces ‘Perc Angle’ Comparisons Ahead of 5/27 WWE RAW

Chad Gable turned heel last month on Monday Night RAW and has since been engaged in a feud with Sami Zayn. He is viewed as the new Kurt Angle and so it appears he is embracing the ‘Perc Angle’ comparisons.

Chad Gable has long been likened to Kurt Angle due to their shared backgrounds in amateur wrestling and Olympic-level competition. Even during Monday Night RAW and after Friday Night SmackDown last week, Chad Gable started getting ‘you suck’ chants similar to Kurt Angle.

In case you weren’t aware, ‘Perc Angle’ refers to the period of time in Kurt Angle’s career when he was almost always taking painkillers and ended up taking incredible risks in the ring but it is also considered one of Angle’s most memorable runs in pro wrestling.

Chad Gable took to Twitter and uploaded photos of a few packets of Perc coffee and even included Perc cup for good measure, as he perfectly embraced the ‘Perc Angle’ comparisons.

We will have to wait and see whether WWE will alter his entrance theme song to make it more in sync with the chants and change up his presentation a bit more to make it similar to Kurt Angle as well. Gable was unable to win the Intercontinental Championship at King and Queen of The Ring, so it remains to be seen what’s next in store for him.
