Danhausen’s absence from AEW television has left fans eagerly awaiting his return, as he has been devoting more time to the independent circuit. Despite his extended hiatus, an update on his contractual status with AEW has emerged, shedding light on his future with the promotion.
The former ROH standout has been noticeably absent from AEW TV since December of the previous year, save for a brief cameo alongside Orange Cassidy during a special Thanksgiving episode of AEW Dynamite.
While Danhausen has been off-screen, he’s been keeping busy on the independent circuit, even clinching the GCW World Title for a brief stint before relinquishing it to Matt Cardona.
In a recent enigmatic social media post, Danhausen hinted at his independence within the professional wrestling realm, expressing a self-reliant philosophy. However, during a recent segment on Fightful’s Q&A Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp disclosed that Danhausen remains under contract with AEW.
“Yes he is.” [still under AEW contract]
With Danhausen’s contractual status clarified, fans are left wondering when they’ll see him grace AEW television screens once more. Many lament his underutilization within the company, recognizing the untapped potential he brings to the table.
