AEW star Wardlow was perceived to be one of the dominant stars in the All Elite landscape. He recently reflected on a pivotal moment in his career, when the wrestling fans rallied behind him and vowed to reach those heights once more.
A user on X recently shared a video from two years ago at AEW Double or Nothing 2022, showing Wardlow’s entrance receiving a thunderous reception from the Las Vegas crowd and asking Wardlow if he saw that iconic moment of his career.
“Two Years Ago at Double or Nothing. @RealWardlow can you still hear us? #AEW.”
Moved by the fan’s post, the dominant AEW star took to his X to affirm that he could still hear the support loud and clear. Wardlow expressed gratitude for the fans who have supported him, even during challenging times, stating that their chants have kept him motivated. Wardlow acknowledged that the night was somewhat tainted for him but promised to return to such moments one day, emphasizing the impact of the fans’ unwavering support.
“I hear you every day. It’s what’s kept me going the past year. Sad how tainted this night was for me. But we will get back to this one day. On my life. For anyone that’s chanted my name, even when you didn’t have much of a reason to, it’s meant the world to me. Thank you.”
Wardlow recently made a comeback, after being involved in a car accident prior to AEW Dynasty, on the latest episode of Dynamite, intervening in the opening match between Will Ospreay, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Trent Beretta. Wardlow attacked Ospreay, allowing Strong to secure the victory for himself and Beretta.
With Wardlow back in the mix, we will have to wait and see if he can recreate the fanbase for himself that was first witnessed at AEW Double or Nothing two years ago.
