Controversy Erupts as WWE Universe Calls Out Referee for Missed Call During Randy Orton’s Pin

WWE featured some action-packed matches throughout the King & Queen of the Ring tournament. One of the biggest stories from the PLE was the King of the Ring tournament finals where a dream match between Gunther and Randy Orton became a reality. 

The match turned out to be as action-packed and brutal as it could get. With some hard-hitting shots featured throughout the match, it is clear Gunther and Orton went through a lot of pain.The ending moments of the match saw Gunther roll Orton up and pin him to get one of the biggest wins of his decorated career in the company. 

While Gunther was crowned as the new King of the Ring, a massive mistake was made by the referee. The WWE Universe have pointed out that Randy Orton’s shoulder was not on the mat and was rather in the air while Gunther pinned him to attain the incredible spot. Not only that, but fans have been saying that the Viper was robbed off his opportunity to win the tournament finals.

While fans have pointed out that Orton’s shoulders weren’t on the mat, it is still not clear if the company would address it. However, Orton mentioning it in a promo on the blue brand while addressing his loss won’t be a surprise.
