It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! The AEW Double Or Nothing go-home episode of Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the May 25, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Results (5/25/2024):

The show opens up with IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley making his way down to the ring as we are welcomed by Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone.

Before Moxley can say anything, he is interrupted by Don Callis. Callis starts off by saying he has something important to say. Callis then says he didn’t come out here to cause any trouble as he just wanted to talk about his history with Moxley. Callis then reminds everyone that on his second night in AEW he cost Moxley the world title. Callis then says Moxley got his revenge though and he shows the footage of Moxley busting him open backstage. Callis then plays the footage of him helping Moxley defeat Kenny Omega in a Steel Cage Match. Callis then claims he and Moxley changed the trajectory of AEW that night. Callis then says he and Moxley aren’t like most people. Callis then claims Moxley checked on him in the ambulance the night he busted him open and said he was one of them now. Callis then says Moxley was right because the two of them are a lot alike. Callis then says it’s killing him inside that Moxley has to face Konosuke Takeshita tomorrow. Callis then tries to sell Moxley on the idea of joining the Don Callis Family instead. Moxley then says he just has one question: if the two of them are going to trust each other, then he is going to need more of a commitment than the scar in his head. Moxley then says he is about to put 24 more stitches in his head right now. Konosuke Takeshita then attacks Moxley from behind and lays him out. Takeshita then destroys Moxley’s arm with the steel chair. Blackpool Combat Club’s “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli then make their way down to the ring, but the damage has already been done. The Doctor and BCC then check on Moxley.

We then get a video recapping the brutal attack on Will Ospreay from Dynamite this past week. Ospreay then cuts a promo and says this is nothing. Ospreay then says this does not scare him and he lives for this sh*t. Ospreay then says the only thing that he believes in is that nobody is better than him. Ospreay then says his blood is on the championship that Roderick Strong has, so his spirit has bonded with it. Ospreay then says it is now his life’s mission to take that championship away from Roderick Strong because he is on another level.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the night and NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi is revealed as the mystery partner of Claudio Castagnoli and Daniel Garcia.

Trios Match: “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer and The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) vs. Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia and Hiroshi Tanahashi

The match starts off with Castagnoli and Dutch. Both men bounce off the ropes into each other. Dutch then picks up Castagnoli, but to no avail. Castagnoli then powerslams Dutch. Vincent and Garcia then tag in and exchange shots. Tanahashi and Garcia then hit stereo neck-breakers on their opponents. Garcia then dances while Tanahashi plays his infamous air guitar. Castagnoli then tries to swing Dutch, but was interrupted by his partners. Garcia was then beat down his opponents and he tried to get to his own corner, but was stopped by Dutch and Archer. Tanahashi then gets the tag and goes straight for Archer. Both men exchanged crossbodies and Garcia hits a guillotine choke on Archer and sends him over the rope. Castagnoli then puts Dutch in the Giant Swing, but Archer breaks it up. Castagnoli then hits Archer with a delayed vertical suplex. Tanahashi then goes for the High Fly Flow, but Archer hits him with a knee. The Righteous then double teams The Ace. Garcia then fights Archer off, while Castagnoli fights Dutch. Tanahashi and Archer then exchange shots. Tanahashi then takes Archer down with a forearm shot. Tanahashi then hits Vincent with the High Fly Flow for the win.

We then get a video vignette of The Young Bucks showing how they are thankless employees and how they give back, but four evil men (team AEW) come against the EVP’s who try to change the world.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) vs. Unified AEW World Trios Champions The Gunns (Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn)

The match starts off with a fast series of offensive moves by both teams. The Gunns then avoid a pair of superkicks on the floor after trying to escape by climbing under the ring. Colten then gets Penta up for a suplex for a near fall. Penta then hits Colten with a superkick and tags Fenix. Fenix then hit both Gunns with a springboard crossbody. Fenix then takes Austin Gunn down with a tijeras and nails Colten with a big splash for a near fall. Austin then crotches Fenix on the top rope and Austin hit the Famouser for a near fall. The Gunns then goes for the 3:10 to Yuma, but Fenix escapes. The Lucha Bros then sends Colten to the outside and hits the Fear Factor on Austin for the three count.

Chris Jericho and Big Bill were then interviewed in the back. Chris Jericho says he will be ready for his two opponents on Sunday. Bryan Keith then interrupts to tell Jericho he hasn’t seen the last of him.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. KM

The match starts off with O’Reilly hitting a flying forearm on KM. KM then hits O’Reilly with a dropkick and a hammer throw. O’Reilly then hits KM with a couple of boots, but misses a splash. O’Reilly then puts KM in a guillotine. O’Reilly then hits KM with a kick to the chest and then back of the neck and KM catches a leg. O’Reilly then puts KM in an armbar for the immediate tap out.

We then get a video package showing the debut of Mercedes Moné, leading into her TBS Title Match as she challenges Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing.

TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander then make their way down to the ring.

Nightingale starts off by saying she is thinking about Rampage last night when Mercedes attacked her and put her hands on her TBS Championship. Nightingale then says she respects Mercedes, but she is way past that now. Nightingale then says at Double or Nothing she is going to make Mercedes long for being back on the shelf and she will be damned if her title reign ends tomorrow. Nightingale then says she will prove that she is the better woman when they meet in the ring tomorrow.

We then head to the back, where Trent Beretta is being interviewed. Beretta says that tomorrow night he will show the whole world something he has already known for a really long time. Rocky Romero then enters and tries to make peace with Beretta and hopes they can put everything in the past after Double or Nothing. Beretta then says that is not happening and to never interrupt him again.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a 4-Way Tag Team Match.

4-Way Tag Team Match: The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) vs. The Infantry (“Captain” Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo) vs. House Of Black (Brody King and Buddy Matthews) vs. Gates Of Agony (Toa Liona vs. Bishop Kaun)

The match starts off with Max Caster and Charlie Bravo and both men exchange fast pinfall attempts. Brody King and Toa Liona then get the tag. Both men then exchanges forearms. Liona then tries to run the ropes, but Murphy low-bridges him. All other men then started to fighting on the floor and Brody King flew through the ropes with a tope. Buddy Matthews then wears out Max Caster with a chinlock. Caster then comes back with a superkick and the Infantry comes in and hits Matthews with a superkick. Brody King then comes in and gets hits a triple superkick. Liona then takes out both members of the Infantry with a crossbody. Liona then hist King with an avalanche in the corner. Kaun then hits a shotgun dropkick on Matthews. The Infantry then tries to get something going again, but get cut off by King.

Kaun and King then squares off and Kaun hits King with a Samoan Drop. The Infantry then takes out four guys on the floor with top rope crossbody blocks. The Infantry then they tried to suplex King, but he blocked it. Murphy and King then took out the Infantry once again while The Acclaimed and Gates of Agony brawled to the back. King and Matthews then hits one member of the Infantry with a cannonball/sliding dropkick combination for the win.

AEW TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland then cuts a promo. Copeland says the House of Black took the one item dear to him. Copeland then says he knew it was only a matter of time before they targeted him in AEW. Copeland then says he has been doing this since before their balls dropped. Copeland then says they have shown him that he needed to go back to the pits. Copeland then says they wanted this version of him and there is a devil on his shoulder, but no angel to be found. Copeland then says the violence that will take place in this barbed wire cage match is fitting. Copeland then says has it ever dawned on Malakai that he used this to get used to the House. Copeland then says what if he defeats Black and Brody and Matthews join him instead. Copeland then says he is a master manipulator and the House of Blood is something he can sink his teeth into. Copeland then tells Malakai when you see evil in a man’s eyes, it’s already too late.

We then get a replay of Serena Deeb’s attack on Toni Storm and Toni Storm’s comments following AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night ahead of her match with Serena Deeb at Double or Nothing.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: “Legit” Leyla Hirsch vs. Mariah May

The match starts off with Mariah repeatedly chopping Hirsch against the ropes and then she rubs her bosom in Hirsch’s face. Hirsch then hits May with a belly to belly suplex, but May responds with a shotgun dropkick. May then hits Hirsch with a double overhand chop, then follows it up with a Running PK for a 2 count. May then puts Hirsch in a seated full nelson, but Hirsch rolls into a submission. May then rolls through and hits a side slam on Hirsch. Hirsch then hits May with a waist lock, then follows it up with a forearm shot in the corner and a step up rebound dropkick. Hirsch then heads up top, but misses the moonsault. May then hits Hirsch with a running lariat, a big boot and a backdrop driver. May then climbs to the top rope and hits Hirsch with a shotgun dropkick, but only gets a 2 count. May signals for the hip attack, but Hirsch avoids it. May then battles out of a piledriver attempt and hits a headbutt on Hirsch. May then hits Hirsch with a running boot for the win.

We then head to the back, where Serena Deeb is being interviewed. Deeb says tomorrow is the biggest match of her life. Deeb then says Toni Storm has had a lot of fun and games in recent weeks, but she is sure it wasn’t fun having to throw the towel in for Mariah May. Serena then says she is going to stretch Storm and become the new champion tomorrow.

A video package then airs hyping up the AEW World Championship Match at Double or Nothing between Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: Blackpool Combat Club’s “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) vs. Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett

The match starts off with Danielson and Jarrett. Wheeler kicks out of a figure-four attempt from Jarrett and tags in Dax Harwood. Harwood then puts Lethal in a small package for a near fall. Singh then hits Harwood with a chop, setting him up for a Lethal Combination from Jay. Singh then gets the tag and grabs Harwood by the throat, then sends him repeatedly to the mat. Singh then wears down Harwood with a claw and sends Wheeler to the floor. Singh then misses a charge in the corner and Danielson and Jarrett is tagged in. Jarrett and Danielson then exchange strikes and Danielson hits a couple of corner dropkicks and takes Jarrett down for the Le Belle Lock, but Lethal breaks it up. Danielson and Wheeler then takes out Lethal and Jarrett with dives. Harwood then sends Singh into the ringpost.

Danielson and FTR then triple team Singh with kicks. FTR then hits Singh with the FTR Trigger and Danielson follows that up with the Busaiku Knee. Lethal then hits both members of FTR with the Lethal Injection, but Danielson takes him out with a clothesline. Karen Jarrett then tries to give Jeff his guitar, bit Aubrey Edwards cuts her off. Sonjay Dutt then slides Jarrett a chair. Jarrett then swings the chair at Danielson, but Danielson ducks and Jarrett hits Singh with the chair instead. Danielson then hits Jarrett with a Busaiku Knee and FTR hits Lethal with the Shatter Machine for the win.

After the match, Cash Wheeler gets on the microphone and talks about FTR’s debut with AEW in 2020. Wheeler says AEW is his home and he will die for this company. Wheeler then says fans and wrestlers are better off because of AEW. Cash then says they are beat up and they might limp into Anarchy in the Arena tomorrow night, but they’ll be the only ones walking out. Dax Harwood then explains why FTR is fighting for the company. Harwood then says they get to be their heroes every week and if they die tomorrow, they’ll be their heroes one more time. The three men then celebrate their win as AEW Collision comes to a close.
