The young blood from the rich lineage of the Von Erich family, comprising Marshall and Ross Von Erich, collectively known as The Von Erichs have made significant appearances for promotions like AEW and ROH.
The former MLW World Tag Team Champions were surrounded by recent buzz stemming from Marshall’s comments on The Von Erichs podcast, hinting at a potential signing with a major wrestling promotion.
Addressing the speculation, Marshall Von Erich clarified that they have not signed with any promotion yet. He expressed optimism about future opportunities, emphasizing their passion for wrestling and desire to honor their family legacy.
“We haven’t signed pen to paper anything yet. But I would love to spill some beans and stuff right now, but good stuff is on the horizon. I know we’ve been saying that, but my brother and I, we always like to stay hopeful, no matter what.”
Marshall did mention that the tag team was in talks with various parties and would announce any developments when appropriate not before mentioning that some good news was on the way.
“Professional wrestling is where our hearts are, it’s where our passion’s at, and that’s why we made the jump to Texas. We wanted to give professional wrestling everything that we have to honor the family that were honored to be a part of. So yeah, as soon as we can announce, we’ll tell you guys. Good news is coming. It’s a good month to be a Von Erich,”
Regarding their affiliation with AEW, Marshall clarified that while they have worked some shows with the promotion and hold a deep appreciation for AEW and its President and CEO, Tony Khan, they have not signed with them. He expressed support for multiple wrestling companies, believing that more options benefit the industry as a whole.
“Yeah, we’ve been doing shows with them. We haven’t signed with them, or we’ll see in the future. We’ll see. But we love AEW, we love Tony [Khan]. We love everything about that company. Honestly for us, the more wrestling options the better. WWE, AEW, I hope a third company comes up. I think it’s good for professional wrestling.”
While the Von Erichs have not signed with any promotion yet, they remain open to various opportunities and are committed to making a positive impact in the wrestling world while honoring their family’s legacy.
