CM Punk encountered a setback due to a triceps injury following an unfortunate incident at the Royal Rumble. However, his unwavering determination to return led him to commit to a rigorous rehabilitation regimen. Despite this, Vince Russo believes WWE shouldn’t place any faith in Punk due to his history of frequent injuries.

While CM Punk hasn’t been able to compete inside the squared circle, he has been a major part of WWE programming over the past several months, especially thanks to his bitter feud with Drew McIntyre.

Speaking on Writing with Russo, Vince Russo explained that CM Punk’s injury-prone nature is a significant factor in why he shouldn’t be given a major push. Russo emphasized Punk’s history of injuries and argued that, at this stage of his career, it doesn’t make sense for the company to invest heavily in The Straight Edge Superstar.

“I mean, bro, I just, god I just feel like with him, every time he steps in a ring he gets hurt. Man I just, I don’t know how at this stage in the game you could put any stock in that guy with his injury history. I don’t know bro, I just don’t know.”
