Jim Ross, the iconic wrestling commentator, has been the voice of multiple generations of fans. Unfortunately, his health has been a concern as he frequently visits the hospital. We have an update on his condition following his recent hospitalization.
This week, Jim Ross shocked fans by sharing alarming news on Twitter about an unexpected trip to the ER in Norman, OK, due to shortness of breath. He did not provide further details about his condition.
“Unexpected trip to ER in Norman this morning. Shortness of breath. That’s all for now.”
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer discussed Jim Ross’ current condition after his hospitalization. Meltzer reported that Ross will not be able to attend Double or Nothing this weekend due to a Class A flu, raised heart enzymes, and his ongoing breathing issues. Thankfully, he is receiving excellent medical care and expects to be in good health in a few days.
“He said that he won’t be able to go to Las Vegas this weekend for Double or Nothing, which was his next announcing gig as right now he’s only doing PPV shows. He said that he has a Class A flu and raised heart enzymes to go along with breathing issues but was getting excellent care and expects to be fine in a few days.”
Fans are undoubtedly relieved to hear that good ol’ JR isn’t suffering from a very serious illness and should recover in a few days. However, it’s still a disappointment that he will miss Double or Nothing, and we hope he won’t have to miss the next pay-per-view event.
