Injuries can happen at any time in the world of professional wrestling and AEW is no different, as quite a few stars have suffered injuries over the past few years in the company. Charlotte Renege is one AEW star who’s out of action due to a concussion and now she has shed light on the circumstances surrounding her absence.

AEW boasts a roster brimming with talent showcased across Dynamite, Rampage, Collision, and ROH programming. Despite its impressive lineup, the promotion faces criticism for underutilizing certain wrestlers. One such talent, Charlotte Renegade, currently finds herself sidelined due to injury rather than booking decisions.

Charlotte Renegade, renowned for her tag team partnership with Robyn in The Renegades, honed her skills under the tutelage of QT Marshall at the Nightmare Factory. Robyn made her AEW debut during a May 2021 Dark: Elevation taping, with Charlotte joining the ranks in June 2023.

Charlotte’s most recent match occurred on December 23rd during an episode of ROH TV, where she teamed up with Taya Valkyrie to emerge victorious against Kiera Hogan, Lady Frost, and Trish Adora in a thrilling trios bout. It was then reported that she is currently dealing with a concussion.

In a conversation with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Charlotte Renegade shed light on her absence, hinting at a potential return in the near future. Renegade noted that a small incident took place at the start of the year that ended up putting her on the shelf.

“At the start of the year, I had a small incident occur that put me out for six months.

“We’re quickly approaching that six months now, but what I’ve been doing during that six months is I learned how to cut hair. I’ve become a barber, as kinda like a side job while I’m out.

“I’m here and I’m supporting Robyn and trying to help her behind the scenes as much as I can, trying to be there for her as much as I can.

“But we’re quickly approaching the end of our six months, so hopefully you guys should start seeing me more back out there.”

We will have to wait and see how Robyn will fare as a singles star until Charlotte Renegade is able to return to the ring since Renegade had been on a roll before her unfortunate injury.
