The Rock’s return to WWE was the adrenaline shot the company needed to make the Road to WrestleMania 40 even more special. While The Rock is currently away from WWE, many are eager to work with him, including actor and aspiring wrestler Paul Walter Hauser.
Hauser, who gained fame for his role as Stingray in “Cobra Kai,” has been making strides in the professional wrestling industry. He has already competed in matches against Matt Cardona and Sami Callihan. Speaking to Steve Fall for Ringside News, Hauser discussed his passion for wrestling and his desire to work with The Rock.
Despite his success in the industry, Hauser admitted that he has not yet met Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “I’ve never met Dwayne Johnson,” he said.
Recognizing the trend of wrestlers transitioning to acting, Hauser highlighted his unique career path, dubbing himself the reverse Dwayne Johnson. “I’ve seen a lot of wrestlers turn into actors, and I’m trying to do the lesser-known actor-turn-wrestler thing. I’ve been calling it a reverse Dwayne Johnson.”
When asked about the possibility of collaborating with The Rock in WWE, Hauser was enthusiastic. “So, yeah, if Dwayne wants to do business, I think we could. I would give my heart, my soul, my body, and my acting and performance acumen to the WWE if it ever made sense for them.”
Hauser is also considering opportunities in AEW or TNA Wrestling. Meanwhile, The Rock is expected to wrestle another match in 2024 before WrestleMania 41, leaving the door open for a potential collaboration with Hauser in WWE.
Fans will have to wait and see whether The Rock and Paul Walter Hauser will join forces in the wrestling world.
