Throughout the time AEW has risen to prominence getting to the position they are now, wrestling veteran Jim Ross has been on the rise with them. The legend was present on AEW’s first show, Double or Nothing 2019, and fast forward five years, he is still in the company having a respectable position.

While AEW has been there for five years, the reaction they have got is not up to the mark. Tony Khan has managed to bring some big stars to the roster with massive experience and popularity for their time in WWE. However, fans have not yet found the product very intriguing.

Jim Ross was asked to grade AEW’s first five years during a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio. While the legend was a part of the company, he gave them a ‘Solid B’ and highlighted numerous things that the company needed to improve.

“Probably a solid B. A lot of things that can be improved upon, like anybody else’s company. AEW’s challenge right now, to me, is creating new stars. Somebody on the brand has got to get hot. That’s going to be what they need now. Somebody has to get hot. I’m not going to go into all the reasons why somebody is not and all that, all that dirtsheet stuff. We just have to get somebody hot. These pay-per-views like this Sunday night in Vegas, these kids rise to the occasion on these pay-per-views. They really do. I was concerned about going to work for a start up because I had done that before. I’m really glad that I did.”

Among others, Ross stated that AEW needed to create new stars to get to the top of the game. While that isn’t an easy task, it could realistically turn things around for the company.
