Sting and Darby Allin won the AEW Tag Team Champions title and successfully defended their belts against The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. Sting’s sons were present for the ride, and now one of his sons has begun training to become a professional wrestler.
At the AEW Revolution pay-per-view’s main event, Sting and Darby Allin defended their AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks. The match was filled with various callbacks and emotional moments, creating a memorable experience for the fans in attendance. In the end, Sting and Darby Allin successfully retained their titles, with Sting retiring undefeated.
Adding to the spectacle, Sting’s sons, Garrett and Steve Jr., participated by donning costumes reminiscent of their father’s iconic personas—Surfer Sting (Garrett) and Wolfpack Sting (Steve Jr.). They joined in the entrance and performed a couple of Stinger splashes as a tribute to their legendary father.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Darby Allin revealed that Steven, a former football player, was staying at his house and training to be a pro wrestler. Allin mentioned that Steven was sleeping in a tent in his front yard. He noted that while Steven hadn’t initially considered a career in wrestling, his involvement at AEW Revolution sparked his interest in training. The former TNT Champion explained that he spoke with Sting and Steven, and invited Steven to come train with him. To facilitate this, Allin has a wrestling ring at his house.
Steven previously mentioned that he had not planned to follow in his father’s footsteps into wrestling, but after the emotional high of AEW Revolution, his future in the business became “murky,” indicating a newfound interest in pursuing wrestling. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether Steven will end up becoming a great pro wrestler like his father eventually.
