The go-home edition of AEW Dynamite for their upcoming show, Double or Nothing ended on a highly exhilarating note as chaos interrupted in the main event leading to a surprise return and tensions running high.
The main event for the May 22 edition of AEW Dynamite featured Bryan Danielson taking on the magnanimous giant, Satnam Singh for the first time. Despite a major size disadvantage, Danielson put up a great fight against Satnam only for the match to end in disqualification by Sonjay Dutt and Jeff Jarrett attacking the American Dragon.
As they continued the assault, AEW EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson came down the aisle to hand over the money they had promised Dutt in exchange for taking out Danielson. Just as they were about to lay their hands on him, a car pulled outside the arena.
In a shocking turn of events, it was the fallen AEW President Tony Khan who drove Darby Allin to the arena, after being barred earlier in the night by The Young Bucks. As Darby hit the stage, he scared off his Double or Nothing opponents away by lighting a flamethrower in his hand on the stage as he and Bryan stood tall ahead of their Anarchy in an Arena match.
