WWE WrestleMania 40 on Sunday witnessed a historic moment as Cody Rhodes dethroned Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion and he’s been on top of the world since then. WWE’s also set to return to Japan this year and in light of this, Rhodes ended up getting threatened for some reason.

We had reported that WWE will tour Japan this year, delivering three shows from July 25 to July 27, 2024. The stars confirmed for these events include Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, IYO SKY, and The Kabuki Warriors.

NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd, who has become very outspoken recently following his victory over Eddie Kingston, took to Twitter to issue a warning to Cody Rhodes. Kidd threatened to slap Rhodes and take his title, sharing a short clip from their WCPW match in April 2017, where Kidd defeated Rhodes.

”STAY OUT OF MY TERRITORY BEFORE I SLAP YOU UP AND TAKE YOUR BELT AGAIN‼️”

WWE hasn’t held an event in Japan since 2019, so we’ll have to see how the tour will turn out in Japan this year, especially with Cody Rhodes now getting involved in the mix. Perhaps Gabriel Kidd might just decide to pay The American Nightmare a visit during the tour somehow.

Do you feel Gabriel Kidd might just confront Cody Rhodes in Japan? Let us know in the comments section below!
