CM Punk has found his own path to stay a part of the WWE television programming amidst his triceps injury that ruled him out of in-ring action for months. In his regular appearances for WWE, Punk is now set to return to his old gig as well.
According to PWInsider, The Best in the World is slated to return to his commentary duties for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. The next event is set to be broadcast from the 2300 Arena in Philidelphia, where CM Punk has also wrestled previously.
“CM Punk will be doing announcing this Friday for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, which is broadcasting from the 2300 Arena in Philly. Obviously, Punk has wrestled in that building before!”
CM Punk has been a part of Cage Fury Fighting Championships since 2018, doing commentary for various events and this would mark his first appearance under the label of being a WWE superstar.
On his wrestling front, he is currently embroiled in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre ever since The Scottish Warrior injured him at the 2024 Royal Rumble and derailed his WrestleMania. The duo has been going back and forth with McIntyre’s latest jab being at CM Punk’s return to WWE 2K24.
With the feud building on for months, it will be interesting to see when these two collide in a one-on-one showdown once both WWE superstars recover from their respective injuries and put on a highly anticipated blockbuster showdown. For now, Punk would be thrilled to resume his old gig in the MMA world.
