Excitement is building as more competitors have qualified for the upcoming ladder match in Las Vegas, where the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Championship will be decided. This highly anticipated match will take place at NXT Battleground, with several qualifying matches taking place on the May 21 episode of NXT.

In the night’s first matchup, two potential favorites faced off as Thea Hail took on Fallon Henley. In a surprising turn of events, Fallon Henley secured the victory, eliminating Hail from the tournament. After the match, Thea Hail found herself alone, as her Chase U teammates had been banned from ringside. Hail’s night worsened when Jazmyn Nyx appeared and delivered a brutal beatdown.

The tension escalated earlier in the bout when Chase U was ejected after Henley attempted to use a steel chair. Ridge Holland intervened, but the referee only saw him holding the chair, leading to the team’s ejection from ringside.

In the second qualifying match, Jaida Parker from O.T.M. defeated the cheerful Brinley Reece to earn her spot in the ladder match. Post-match, Booker T speculated that the presence of Edris Enofe and Malik Blade at ringside might have turned the tide against Reece.
