Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows returned to WWE in 2022, but their path has been plagued by a series of injuries, slowing down their progress. Despite these challenges, they have resurfaced and are now actively engaged in NXT in recent months. It seems they are committed to remaining with WWE for the long haul.
In February, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson began making regular appearances on NXT television, working with talents such as Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger, and more.
On Talk’N Shop, when asked if they would retire in WWE or potentially return to Japan, Anderson expressed his deep affection for Japan and his desire to go back, stating that he romantically loves Japan and misses it badly. However, he also sees himself retiring in WWE, envisioning himself as a lifelong WWE wrestler until the end.
“I romantically love Japan. I have to go back to Japan. I will go back to Japan. I miss Japan, badly. I do see ourselves retiring in WWE. I see us as full brother WWE guys until the end.”
Gallows added that they have no plans of retiring, regardless of where they are, and they intend to return to Japan frequently for enjoyment. He emphasized that retirement isn’t even on their radar.
“My answer is that we’re never going to retire. It doesn’t matter where. We’re going to go back to Japan lots. It’ll be fun. We have no thoughts of retiring. Not even an inkling.”
Anderson concluded by giving more emphasis to his commitment to WWE, stating that his entire mindset is focused on being a WWE wrestler until his career ends for good.
“What I’m saying is, my full brain is ‘I’m a WWE guy’ until I’m gone.”
The OC was last featured during the May 14th episode of NXT where they defeated Ridge Holland & Riley Osborne. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the duo as they’ll remain with WWE forever.
