Shelton Benjamin, the long-time professional wrestling veteran, has often given fans the impression that his true potential wasn’t fully realized in his previous wrestling stints. After his release from WWE last year, he has now addressed returning to the company in the future.

In case you didn’t know, there had been discussions going on between Shelton Benjamin and AEW, exploring the potential for his involvement with the company and adding more star power to their roster. However, those talks would ultimately fall through in the end.

While speaking to Daily Star, Shelton Benjamin was asked about possibly making his way back to WWE. Benjamin made it clear that he would definitely return to WWE if they told him they wanted him back.

“I think I’d be a fool not to look at the opportunity again if they ask me to come back. I would definitely go back. I think you’d be a fool not to; they’re the biggest company in the world. You get the most exposure, you can really build your own personal brand there. WWE is a marketing machine. Most people think of WWE as a wrestling company; I think of it as a marketing company. If you get a chance to go there, I say to anyone: go. If you’ve been there and came back, go back. Yes, it’s going to be frustrating at times. Leave your feelings at the door because WWE doesn’t care about your feelings, much like any other job. So, I would definitely go back given the opportunity. Am I trying to go back? No. I take it day by day and deal with what I have to deal with. But if the opportunity came, of course I would definitely consider going back.”
