Enzo Amore and Big Cass formed a highly popular tag team during their time in WWE, but both wrestlers were eventually released from the company for separate reasons. Although Enzo is no longer in WWE, fans have speculated about the possibility of him joining AEW. Recently, he addressed the potential of joining AEW.
Several years have passed since Enzo Amore was fired by WWE due to allegations of sexual assault. Since his release, Amore has been actively competing on the independent circuit and has been earning substantial money.
In an interview with Inside the Ropes, The Realest Guy In The Room was asked about making his way to AEW. Amore stated that he was in contact with AEW a few years ago but noted how nothing came of that. Amore made it clear that he isn’t really interested in working with AEW as AEW haven’t ever contacted him again.
“I think a few years ago, I was in contact with them. There was a lack of interest on their end and they were bringing in big Cass, and honestly, no. The answer is no. I’m doing fine in my life, you people know my phone number, if they wanted to get in touch with me and contact me they could. People know that I’m a draw when it comes to television. You put me on your TV screen, I’m going to do a number at least the first day. It’s on me to keep the train rolling. But I just know that it’s one of those feelings where if you don’t want to work with me, I don’t want to work with you.”
Enzo Amore also boldly claimed that he was ready for WrestleMania from day one in WWE. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what’s next in store for the former WWE Superstar, as AEW doesn’t seem to be an option at the moment.
