WWE WrestleMania 40 Sunday featured Cody Rhodes dethroning Roman Reigns as the Undisputed Universal Champion, solidifying his status as a top star in the company. However, Rhodes himself seems to be modest about his appeal, expressing that he doesn’t see himself as a draw on the same level as Roman Reigns.

Since his switch from Raw to SmackDown, Cody Rhodes has firmly established himself as the brand’s top star, especially during Roman Reigns’ break. Rhodes’ popularity is undeniable, making him a major fan favorite. However, the question of whether he is a significant draw remains.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Cody Rhodes was asked about his definition of being ‘over’ in professional wrestling. He used examples of Roman Reigns and John Cena as the proper definition of the word, as they are genuine draws. Rhodes admitted that he doesn’t feel he is over or a draw like Reigns.

“…I use The Rock and I use John Cena, Roman Reigns as examples of people that have actually gotten over. They can’t leave their house without causing a scene. They move more than a thousand tickets in just a host of them being there. If you look at some of these metrics, you can truly find out that person is a draw or that person is over. I’ve never considered myself anything like that…”

With that said, Rhodes did reach an incredible Fanatics merchandise milestone. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Cody Rhodes will be booked as the Undisputed WWE Champion in the coming months.
