Toni Storm is one of the biggest stars in all of AEW and she has made it a point to call out Wendi Richter for the past several months at press events. With that said, we now have an update on her AEW debut status.
During a press event for Worlds End, Toni Storm was asked about potential signings for AEW when she made her intentions clear, singling out Wendi Richter.
“There is money written all over it. Wendi Richter… I’m going to make you pay.”
This would lead to a response from Wendi Richter herself, who was willing to do it for the right money. However, Fightful Select reports that Wendi Richter won’t be appearing in AEW anytime soon, and it’s unlikely that she’ll even be referenced.
Despite Toni Storm frequently mentioning the wrestling legend during press events, plans for Richter to appear in All Elite Wrestling have been shelved. This decision comes after it was discovered that Richter is actually under a WWE Legends deal.
Richet has not stepped into the ring since 2005. Her illustrious career is marked by her reigns as AWA and WWE Women’s Champion. In 2010, her impact on the sport was honored with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Regardless, fans shouldn’t hope to see her in AEW anytime soon.
