WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has long been intertwined with Bully Ray. Together, they form the celebrated Team 3D, recognized as one of the premier tag teams in history. This year, D-Von was honored with inclusion in WWE 2K24, and he recently shared the phone call where he learned of his involvement in the game.
WWE 2K24 recently released its ECW pack, offering fans the opportunity to play as iconic wrestlers such as CM Punk, The Sandman, and The Dudleyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley), among others.
This release marks the first time The Dudleyz have been featured in a WWE game since WWE 2K17. Reflecting on their inclusion in the game, D-Von Dudley shared his experience in a conversation with Screen Rant.
When asked about the phone call he received regarding their inclusion in the game, D-Von Dudley revealed the phone call he got from WWE 2K about being part of the game. D-Von went on to express his appreciation for WWE and the game developers, highlighting their consistent support and attention to detail.
“[laughs] Listen, I got a phone call and they said, ‘We’re gonna put you in the new video game, what do you think?’ I go, ‘I’m getting paid, right?’ They go, ‘Of course.’ Then hell yeah, I got nothing to say. [laughs] WWE and the makers of the video games have always been good to myself and Bubba, so we never really had to put any input or influence on anything that was done in terms of that. They’ve always hit our signature moves, even down to our walk when we’re walking to the ring. Me getting up to the top rope, clapping my hands and coming up with the 3-D sign, they’ve always been good.”
Interestingly enough, D-Von Dudley also expressed his desire to work in WWE again under Triple H. We will have to wait and see what D-Von Dudley will do next, as he would flourish in either company right now.
