Last month, WWE genuinely surprised the wrestling community by releasing several prominent stars, including Xyon Quinn, Xia Li, Jinder Mahal, Von Wagner, Cameron Grimes and Boa. Things didn’t stop there as WWE released even more talent and now it appears a couple of WWE stars were held back by injuries before their release.
WWE conducted round of NXT releases earlier this month, and one of the most notable names to depart was Valentina Feroz, who had been featured on the brand since 2020. Feroz’s final match took place during the December 5 NXT Level Up tapings, where she emerged victorious against Amari Miller.
Fightful Select reported that some recently released WWE talents, including Valentina Feroz and Boa, have struggled with injuries in recent months. According to NXT talent, these injuries prevented Feroz and Boa from getting consistent opportunities to showcase their abilities.
”With regard to some of the TV names that were released, Valentina Feroz and Boa have both struggled with injuries in recent months, with the NXT talent we spoke to expressing that the two talents didn’t get consistent shots to show what they were capable of due to said injuries.”
We have also reported the reason behind the latest slew of WWE cuts, which is simply the fact that WWE didn’t see potential in them. The release of wrestlers is always a difficult part of the industry, but hopefully, each of those let go will find new opportunities and success elsewhere down the line.
