Cassie Lee was part of WWE, where she competed as Peyton Royce and even became a tag team champion there. After taking an indefinite hiatus to give birth to her son, she made her long-awaited return to the ring last year. Now, she’s expressing openness to making a comeback in the Royal Rumble.

Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay were released by WWE back in 2021 and they have not been associated with the company ever since. Even then, fans have wondered if they will ever return to WWE.

Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay revealed on their podcast that they had declined the opportunity to participate in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble.

In a recent interview conducted by D.S. Shin of Ring The Belle, both explained that it was too soon after their releases from WWE to consider such an opportunity. However, Lee expressed openness to appearing in the Royal Rumble because she feels emotionally ready.

”Yeah, I’m open to it, for sure (she said about WWE’s Royal Rumble). I would love that. It’d be so good to catch up and I mean, it’s the Royal Rumble. We said no last time because we were still pretty hurt about it but, I feel healed now and I feel like I’d love to do that if the opportunity came.

Cassie Lee and Shawn Spears are currently expecting their second child, so we’ll have to wait and see whether Lee will be ready in time for a Royal Rumble return next year. It is certain many fans would be happy to see her back as well.
