AEW is known to work with all sorts of companies all over the world including NJPW, STARDOM, CMLL and more and it appears a major AEW Champion defended their title at an international event.

At Saturday’s (May 18) World Wonder Ring Stardom event, Willow Nightingale defended her TBS Championship against Tam Nakano. The Stardom Flashing Champions event saw Nightingale and Nakano engage in a captivating battle for the title. After 17 minutes of intense action, the AEW star emerged triumphant, retaining her championship.

Post-match, Nightingale and Nakano shared a respectful moment and Nightingale made it very clear she was not done with Tam Nakano. This marked Nightingale’s second match for Stardom and her inaugural bout for the promotion in Japan, following her debut at last month’s Stardom American Dream show.

Willow Nightingale captured the TBS Championship from Julia Hart at April’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. She is scheduled to defend her title against Mercedes Mone at Double or Nothing 2024 on May 26, so we’ll have to see how she will fare against Mone in the end.
