Released AEW Star Makes In-Ring Return During 5/16 ROH Taping

The recent unexpected releases of several superstars from the AEW roster shocked many fans since even Anthony Henry was let go. Thankfully, he was hired back by the company and he made his return during the recent ROH taping.

Henry’s recent stint with AEW was abruptly interrupted due to a severe injury he sustained during an independent wrestling match in March. This injury, a broken jaw, not only sidelined Henry but also forced him to withdraw from the AEW Tag Team title tournament, where he was set to team up with his partner, JD Drake.

Tony Khan has assured fans that once Henry is cleared to return, he will be warmly welcomed back to both AEW and ROH. That’s exactly what happened as he made his in-ring return during the 15th May ROH taping.

In his return match, Anthony Henry paired up with his partner JD Drake as they squared off against Serpentico & Angelico. Henry and Drake were victorious in their match, much to the delight of fans.

We will have to wait and see how Anthony Henry and JD Drake will be booked in the AEW tag team division again, as The Workhorsemen had proved they were incredible in-ring performers.
