Update: It turns out that Ivar was actually written off television due to a surgery.
WWE has been pushing numerous talents in the past few weeks to enhance the depth of their roster and the variety of matches they could deliver from the main event scene. Among some other top names who have been getting regular TV time and matches, one of them is WWE Raw star Ivar.
The Viking Raiders star has been on the singles side since Eric took time off due to an injury. However, recently, Ivar ended up getting injured as well after a brutal attack. Gallus, who returned after a long hiatus from the company, attacked Ivar who was eventually taken off TV due to an injury.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was revealed that Ivar is not injured. Rather, his injury was just an angle to write him off TV after the immense har work he has been doing every week on Raw and NXT.
“Ivar was announced as being injured from an attack by Gallus. He’s just being given time off because he’s been working so hard of late but it’s nothing serious and just an angle.”
While Ivar has been taken out with an injury angle, him returning soon to avenge his injury won’t be a surprise. Given the interesting storylines he could have in NXT, Ivar could turn to be a regular on the brand following his return. Ringside News will keep you updated with the latest news about WWE.
