The Executive Vice Presidents of AEW, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, have been leveraging their positions ever since they ousted AEW President Tony Khan and established The New Elite with Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw The Young Bucks collide against Christopher Daniels and ‘Broken Angel’ Matt Sydal in a Tag Team Eliminator match, following the latter team’s growing frustration with The Bucks’ power maneuvers.

The match was a thrilling back-and-forth affair, with Jack Perry providing ringside support for The Bucks, keeping the AEW audience on the edge of their seats. Ultimately, The Young Bucks secured victory by hitting Daniels with The TK Driver.

However, the triumph wasn’t enough for Matthew and Nicholas, who continued to wield their authority post-match. In a dramatic move to ‘cleanse’ the AEW locker room, The Bucks abruptly fired Christopher Daniels, concluding his five-year stint as both an in-ring competitor and a backstage contributor to AEW, much to the fans’ disappointment. To make his firing look more legitimate and further the storyline, Christopher Daniels’ profile from the official AEW website has been removed.
