Eddie Kingston has been a fatal attraction in AEW in the past few months. While the star held titles in both AEW and ROH simultaneously, things haven’t gone his way when it comes to successfully defending the titles. However, Kingston has still managed to be among some of the biggest stars on the roster. Apart from that, the star also makes regular appearances in NJPW.
Last week, Kingston had a match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence. In an action-packed battle, Kingston ended up suffering an injury. This also made his status for AEW Double or Nothing uncertain.
In a recent post on Instagram, Kingston uploaded a picture of himself on a wheelchair with a knee brace on his legs. The star was supposed to team up with FTR and Bryan Danielson to face the Elite at AEW Double or Nothing. However, with him being injured, it doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

On the 5/15 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced Eddie Kingston’s injury and Darby Allin was confirmed as a replacement for Kingston in the match. Ringside News wishes Eddie Kingston a speedy recovery.
