Darby Allin had set his sights on conquering Mount Everest but those hopes were dashed by a foot injury. He would also get hit by a bus to make matters worse. Despite all the injuries he suffered, Allin returned on Dynamite this week but has now confirmed he isn’t fully healed yet.

During the main event of AEW Dynamite this week, Kazuchika Okada, the current AEW International Champion, defended his title against Dax Harwood of FTR. After an incredible match, Okada successfully retained his title. Immediately following his victory, The Elite launched a post-match assault. Despite efforts from Cash Wheeler and Bryan Danielson to fend off the attack, they were quickly overwhelmed.

In a dramatic turn of events, Darby Allin made a surprise return. Emerging from the crowd, Allin attacked The Elite with his skateboard. He was then revealed to be the new fourth member of Team AEW for Double or Nothing.

In a video posted on AEW’s YouTube channel, Darby Allin addressed the crowd after the show went off the air. Allin confirmed that he still has not fully recovered from his extensive injuries.

”What a f**** crazy few months. Holy s***, I thought the worst happened when I broke my foot. Then I was in New York and got hit by a f****** bus. As you can see, I’m not 100%. I still have a little bit of a limp, I got a nose brace on. But f***, I am going to Anarchy in the Arena because I want to defend AEW’s honor. Like I said, I’m not 100%. Jesus, when [Dax] just did that suplex, I was sitting criss-cross apple sauce, and “A f***** beam hit me in the head. I thought I got knocked out. I was like, ‘There goes my return.’ [Laughs] I’m not gonna keep you here for long because there’s some more bad-ass action to come. I gotta go to the hospital or something. I’ll talk to you guys later.”

We will have to wait and see how Darby Allin will fare in the Anarchy In The Arena match, as it’s quite clear the bout will be incredibly violent and there’s a chance he could get hurt again.
