Asuka was supposed to take part in the Queen of The Ring tournament on RAW last week, but that didn’t happen as it was announced she was injured. Asuka has now confirmed that she is taking time off to address her knee injury.
During last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Dakota Kai revealed that Asuka had sustained an undisclosed injury due to which she had to be pulled from the Queen of The Ring tournament.
Asuka has been noticeably absent from television since her last appearance at Backlash for that reason. The Empress of Tomorrow took to her YouTube channel to address her fans. In the video, she revealed that she’s taking some time off to address a knee injury.
During the update, Asuka expressed gratitude towards her Damage CTRL stablemates Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane for their support during WWE’s European tour, where she wasn’t performing at her best due to her injury.
”After Backlash and the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”
Earlier this year, Asuka had an injury scare but she wasn’t actually injured. Regardless, we wish Asuka a speedy recovery and hope she can get back to in-ring action as soon as possible.
