The Elite, comprising Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry has become a force to be reckoned with in recent memory, laying a warpath of carnage and havoc all over the AEW landscape.

Moreover, they assumed control of the AEW television programming ever since they took out AEW President and CEO Tony Khan a few weeks ago and even decimated their former fellow EVP, Kenny Omega.

Omega, using his own power as the AEW EVP, made an Anarchy in an Arena match last week on Dynamite, pitting the Elite against the team of FTR who picked Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston as their partners for AEW Double or Nothing.

However, as also witnessed last week, The Elite attacked Eddie Kingston at the recent NJPW Global Resurgence event, and at the start of tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, they announced that Kingston was out of action due to injury and would not be able to compete at AEW Double or Nothing.

Moreover, FTR themselves addressed the situation, wishing Eddie Kingston well and hinting that despite being one man down, they had a plan to combat the force of The Elite alongside Bryan Danielson as the most exciting AEW pay-per-view approaches in over a week.
