Swerve Strickland Reveals Social Media Restrictions After AEW Title Win

Swerve Strickland’s ascent in AEW has been truly remarkable, highlighting his exceptional in-ring skills and undeniable charisma. As the current AEW World Champion, he stands at the pinnacle of the company, ready to push his abilities to new heights. However, despite his success, Strickland has recently disclosed the restrictions imposed on him after becoming champion.

It took the multi-talented AEW World Champion a grueling two years reach the top of the company. His journey was marked by challenges and obstacles, making the achievement all the more rewarding and fans are definitely behind him now.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, Swerve Strickland highlighted the increased responsibility that comes with his AEW World Title status and revealed the restrictions as well. Essentially, he can no longer respond to just about anyone on social media or call them out as he now represents AEW as a whole.

”More media, more responsibility. A lot of the things that a lot of people can get away with, I don’t get away with anymore. I can’t just respond to everybody online, I can’t call out people like that because now there’s um… I’m representing All Elite Wrestling to the fullest extent. I’m not just representing myself; it’s bigger than myself now. You know, All Elite Wrestling is not only just my culture, I’ve got to represent it in a certain different way, and I’ve got to understand it’s bigger than me. So, a lot of those selfish responses, those emotions, they kind of got to go to the side, and understand what’s the bigger picture.'”

Swerve Strickland also has to deal with Christian Cage, as the two will battle at AEW Double or Nothing, so we’ll have to wait and how AEW will book their feud in the coming weeks.
