John Cena held the brag worthy title of being the face of WWE from 2006 to 2016, captivating audiences with his charisma and prowess in the ring. He’s now a bona fide star in Hollywood and in other mediums as well, which is why it’s no surprise he’ll be hosting Discovery Channel’s ‘Shark Week.’

Cena’s latest hosting gig has been unveiled at Warner Bros. Discovery’s 2024 upfront presentation: he’ll be leading this year’s “Shark Week.” The highly anticipated event promises thrilling content, including the continuation of “Belly of the Beast,” offering viewers a glimpse into a great white shark-feeding frenzy.

Among the lineup are shows like “Monster Hammerhead: Species X,” delving into the discovery of a possible new hammerhead species, and “Great White Serial Killer: Sea of Blood,” which tracks the harrowing tale of a great white shark wreaking havoc on a local village. ”Shark Week” kicks off on July 7th, so there is definitely a ton of things fans can look forward to now.

Recent hints from John Cena about potential future appearances on WWE television led to a ton of discussions as well, but it might still be a while before he’s back again. Regardless, Cena will keep himself busy with tons of projects in the meantime, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
