Jamie Hayter held the AEW Women’s Championship since clinching the interim title at Full Gear in 2022. However, she dropped the title last year due to injury, leaving fans eagerly awaiting her return to the ring. As of now, her in-ring comeback status remains uncertain.
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2023, Toni Storm emerged victorious over Jamie Hayter to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship. Leading up to the event, there were concerns about Hayter’s well-being, and it was reported that she would not make her return to the ring last year.
While speaking on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp talked about Jamie Hayter’s in-ring return status while she remains absent due to injury. It was noted that there is no definite timeline for her return as AEW simply doesn’t know when she will return.
“When she first got hurt, they just put a big TBD on it. They had no clue. They had no idea when that was gonna be up or when she was gonna be back. And that’s unfortunate but I haven’t heard any movement on that.”
It’s definitely disappointing for fans eager to see Jamie Hayter make her triumphant return to the ring. With AEW All In scheduled for August this year, there’s hope among fans that she may be able to make her comeback by then, but there’s no guarantee about that.
