It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! WWE NXT will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the May 14, 2024 episode.

WWE NXT Results (5/14/2024):

The show opens up with Meta-Four’s “Supernova 11” Noam Dar laid out backstage. The other members of Meta-Four assumed is was WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams who attacked Dar, but Lash Legend was defending Williams. We then get the highlights from last week’s NXT Women’s Combine.

We then head to the back, where Kiana James is hyping Izzi Dame up in the locker room ahead of Dame’s match tonight. James says she is going to run Monday Night RAW after being called up recently. James then says Dame will run NXT. James then tells Dame to go out there and win her qualifying match. Dame then leaves and makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night. We then see Sol Ruca making her way to the ring as well. Ruca cuts a babyface promo just before she enters through the curtain. Ruca then walks on her hands as she enters the the Performance Center in Orlando.

Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then officially welcomes us to the show and the first match of the night is underway.

WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Battleground Ladder Match Qualifier: Sol Ruca vs. Izzi Dame

The match starts off with Dame hitting Ruca with a shoulder tackle, but Ruca responds with a shoulder tackle of her own. Dame then wears Ruca down with a submission hold, but Ruca escapes and flies of the middle rope using a modified cannonball to level Dame and send her crashing to the outside. Ruca then hits Dame with a modified moonsault off the middle turnbuckle and sends her back in the ring, but Dame kicks out. Ruca then looks to send Dame crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first, but Dame moves out of the way and sends Ruca crashing to the outside. Dame then sends Ruca crashing into the announce desk and sends her back in the ring, then follows her and hits her with a backbreaker. Dame goes for a pin, but Ruca kicks out.

Dame then puts Ruca in a modified crossface, but Ruca escapes and looks to get Dame up on her shoulders. Dame then escapes and hits Ruca with a flapjack, then follows it up with an elbow drop and another modified crossface. Ruca then escapes once again, but Dame sends her into the corner. Ruca then hits Dame with a couple of shoulder tackles and a springboard back elbow, then gets Dame up on her shoulders and sends Dame crashing into the mat. Ruca then hits Dame with a standing moonsault and looks to fly off the top rope, but Dame moves out of the way and hits Ruca with a back body drop. Dame then hits Ruca with a boot and goes for a pin, but Ruca kicks out. Dame then hits Ruca with a shoulder on Ruca’s midsection, but Ruca responds with the Sol Snatcher for the win.

We then head to the back to the office of NXT General Manager Ava and see her meet with The D’Angelo Family. Ava questions what The Family did to and what happened to both the referee in Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe’s match against Myles Borne and Charlie Dempsey last week as well as the whereabouts of Borne and Damon Kemp, but The Family gives her vague answers. Ava then fines them $20,000 and The Family pays up right away. Tony says the money is all there and then some. Tony then agrees that there will be no funny business in his Heritage Cup Championship Match.

We then see Malik Blade trying to psych Edris Enofé up as he was still paranoid over having bad luck. Brinley Reece then shows up and tosses away a rabbit’s foot that Enofé had. Reece then tells them to come over and win a match, but Enofé wanted his rabbit’s foot back.

We then see Sarah Schreiber interview Lola Vice and Shayna Baszler. Baszler quickly cuts in and talks about being the most dominant NXT Women’s Champion. Baszler then says she is looking forward to see who Ava chooses to be the next challenger to Roxanne Perez’s title after Perez’s match against Chelsea Green. Vice then says she is going to break every record once she becomes champion. Karmen Petrovic then shows up and attacks Vice. The women’s locker room and referees then run out to pull both women apart.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: Edris Enofé and Malik Blade vs. OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price)

The match starts off with Nima and Blade. Blade then hits Nima with a boot to Nima’s jaw and Enofé tags in. Blade then trips Nima and Enofé nails Nima before hitting him with a series of elbow drops. Nima then sends Enofé crashing into the corner, then tags Price in. OTM then double teams Enofé and Price delivers some right and left hands on him in the corner. Nima then tags back in and OTM looks to hit Enofé with a double suplex. Blade then helps Enofé out, then delivers some right hands on Nima as Blade does the same to Price in the opposite corner. Nima and Price then look to powerbomb Enofé and Blade into each other, but Enofé and Blade both counter the move into hurricanranas. Enofé and Blade then dropkick Nima and Price out of the ring and fly over the top rope to land on them. Enofé then gets Nima back inside the ring and runs the ropes. Parker then trips Enofé and Nima hits him with a back elbow. Reece then attacks Parker, but Enofe, Blade, Nima and Price separate the two women.

Parker and Reece then begin brawling with one another. Officials then run down to separate the two women. Price then tags in and hits Enofé with a double right hand with Nima. Price then hits Enofé with a uranage, then nails him with a running clothesline in the corner and puts him in a variation of a crossface. Nima then tags back in and hits Enofé with a series of back elbows in the corner, then tags Price in. Blade then tags in and nails both Price and Nima. Blade then hits a crossbody on both Price and Nima, then tags Enofé in. Blade and Enofé then set up their finisher and Nima is sent crashing to the outside. Enofé then sends Price to join Nima with a dropkick and looks to fly, but Price gets him back in the ring and nails him with a superkick. Nima then tags back in and OTM hits their finisher for their win.

We then head to the back, where we see that Noam Dar is being checked on in the medical office as the rest of Meta-Four flanks him. Mensah then steps up to take Dar’s place in his match against Je’Von Evans later tonight and Jakara Jackson asks Lash Legend why she is so sure Trick Williams wasn’t responsible for attacking Dar, but Legend avoids the question and says she can’t do this right now.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Battleground Ladder Match Qualifier.

WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Battleground Ladder Match Qualifier: Ivy Nile vs. Meta-Four’s Lash Legend

The match starts off with Legend hitting Nile with a back elbow and going for a pin, but Nile kicks out. Legend then hits Nile with a couple of shoulder blocks and sends Nile into the corner and crashing to the outside. Legend then follows Nile out there and sends her crashing into the ring apron shoulder first. Legend then bodyslams Nile onto the floor and looks to sandwich her between herself and the ring steps. Nile then moves out of the way and Legend collides with the ring steps. Nile then hits Legend with a forearm off the apron and gets Legend back in the ring. Nile then climbs to the top and hits Legend with a crossbody, then hits Legend with a kick on her head and follows it up with a hurricanrana. Legend then hits Nile with a splash in the corner and delivers some right hands on her, but Nile slips out of the way and hits Legend with an enzuigiri as she sits on the top rope. Legend then sends Nile crashing into the mat and follows it up with a pump kick for the win.

We then head to the back, where Sarah Schreiber is interviewing JeVon Evans about who attacked Noam Dar. Evans says he has no clue, but he is looking forward to facing Oro Mensah. Sarah then says we still don’t know who attacked Noam.

We then see Carlee Bright show up to. NXT General Manager Ava’s office and demand a match against Lola Vice after what took place earlier in the night. Ava talks about how well Bright has been doing and granted her the match.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Meta-Four’s Oro Mensah vs. “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans

The match starts off with Mensah hitting Evans with strikes as. Lash Legend appears at ringside. Evans then hits a dropkick on Mensah’s head, but Mensah responds with a springboard moonsault and looks to follow it up with a vertical suplex. Evans then avoids it and hits Mensah with a hurricanrana off the middle rope. Evans then hits a dropkick on Mensah and goes for a pin, but Mensah kicks out. Evans then looks to fly off the ropes, but Mensah catches him and sends him crashing to the outside.

Evans then hits Mensah with a chop. Mensah ten responds with a kick to Evans’ head and sends him crashing into the mat face first with a reverse spinning powerbomb, but Evans nails Mensah from the apron and climbs to the top. Mensah then joins Evans, but Evans hits him with an enzuigiri from the apron. Evans then hits Mensah with a springboard elbow from the top. Mensah and Evans then exchange strikes before Evans hits Mensah with a springboard cutter. Mensah then rolls out of the ring, but Evans flies over the top to land on him. Evans then gets Mensah back in the ring, but Mensah nails him with a lariat. Jackson then distracts the referee as Legend pulls out a chair from under the ring. Trick Williams then appears at ringside, causing Legend to become distracted and she drops the chair. Mensah then continues beating Evans down and goes for a powerbomb, but Evans escapes and hits Mensah with a roundhouse kick. Evans then hits Mensah with a superkick and follows it up with a corkscrew for the win.

After the match, WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams congratulates Evans in the ring. Williams then shakes Evans’ hand, hugs him and raises his hand.

We then head to the back, where Charlie Dempsey says his teammates are on their way but are beaten up because of what the D’Angelo Family has done to them. Dempsey then says he will retain the Heritage Cup later tonight against Tony D’Angelo in the main event.

Wes Lee then makes his way down to the ring to address the WWE Universe.

Wes Lee starts off by saying the last time he was in the ring with a mic things were quite a bit different. Lee then says he was in one of the darkest times of his life and he had no idea if he would ever be back competing inside the ring. Lee then says fans know how much NXT means to him, but so did his North American Championship. Lee then says relinquishing the title made him question if his career was really over, but he missed being a professional wrestler. Lee then says he missed it so much and he was walking two days after having surgery and was back in the gym a few weeks later. Lee then says he was focused on one goal during his recovery and that was getting back to NXT. Lee then says he was supposed to miss nearly a year of competition, but here he is medically cleared six months later.

WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi’s music then hits and Femi makes his way down to the ring. Femi says he is not at ringside to cut Lee down, but because he is impressed with Lee and always has been. Femi then says his reign as North American Champion was nothing short of an accomplishment, but Lee is taking it as far as he can. Femi then says Lee has to watch him take the North American Championship to heights he never could and Lee has the heart of a lion and the spirit of a warrior. Femi then says Lee is not a warrior, then asks if Lee wants a shot at his title. Lee then says he does and Femi tells Lee to prove himself. Lee then says Femi checks all the boxes of what a champion should look like, but he does not check as many boxes as Lee does.

Before Lee can continue, Ivar makes his way down to the ring and says everyone is excited to have Lee back including him. Ivar then says he knows what it’s like to come back from a career threatening injury and they had the same spinal surgeon. Ivar then says when he came back, he had to fight for everything he got. Ivar then says he knows Lee isn’t afraid to fight for everything as well and they both want title shots. Josh Briggs’ music then hits and Briggs makes his way down to the ring. Briggs says the three of them are in a pickle and they are all emotional between Lee’s comeback story and Ivar showing the world who he is behind the paint and the viking calls. Briggs then says it’s a man’s game and he and Femi tore the house down along with Dijak at NXT Stand & Deliver. Briggs then says now that his ribs are healed, he thinks he needs to run it back with Femi. Femi then says Lee, Ivar and Briggs all have compelling arguments. Lee then challenges Femi to put his North American Championship on the line in a Fatal 4-Way at Battleground, but Femi leaves the ring and tells Lee, Ivar and Briggs to face off in a Triple Threat Match where the winner gets to challenge him for the North American Championship at Battleground.

We then head to the back, where Ridge Holland is asked if he is going to face The Good Brothers alone tonight. Chase U then shows up and offers their help. Holland then accepts, thinking he will be teaming up with Andre Chase, but Chase suggests Riley Osborne. Holland is all for it as he wants to prove himself to Chase.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) vs. Chase U’s Riley Osborne and Ridge Holland

The match starts off with Holland and Gallows. Holland then looks to nail Gallows with a couple of shoulder tackles, but Gallows stays on his feet. Both men then go back and forth before Osborne and Anderson tag in. Anderson then wears Osborne’s arm down with a submission, but Osborne hits Anderson with a dropkick. Osborne then nails Gallows with another kick, then hits Anderson with a standing shooting star press. Anderson then hits Osborne with a spinebuster, then delivers some right hands on him and tags Gallows back in. Gallows then delivers some right hands on Osborne in the corner, then hits him with a bodyslam and follows it up with hammer and anvil elbows. Anderson then tags back in and sends Osborne into the corner, then tags Gallows in. Gallows then delivers a right hand to Osborne, then tags Anderson back in. Osborne then flies out of the corner to land on both Gallows and Anderson, then tags Holland in. Holland then runs over Anderson with a shoulder tackle, then hits another shoulder tackle and nails Anderson with a double underhook suplex. Holland then sends Anderson crashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but Gallows breaks the fall. Osborne then goes after Gallows, but Gallows takes him out. Holland then goes for an Alabama Slam and Osborne looks to nail Gallows with a dropkick. Gallows then sends Osborne crashing into Holland and Anderson rolls up Holland for the win.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Lola Vice vs. Carlee Bright

The match starts off with Vice hitting a kick on Bright’s thigh. Vice then looks to hit Bright with an arm drag, but Bright blocks it and nails Vice with a crossbody. Bright then hits Vice with a shoulder tackle and a forearm from the apron, but Vice hits Bight with a kick on her midsection. Vice then follows it up with a scissor kick as we see Karmen Petrovic and Natalya watching the action from the back. They then leave the monitor as Vice hits Bright with an uppercut and a series of knees on Bright’s midsection. Vice then steps over Bright, but Bright rolls her up. Vice then kicks out and looks to hit a boot, but Bright moves out of the way and Vice is sent colliding with the middle rope. Vice then hits Bright with a couple of clotheslines and a dropkick, then nails Vice with a kick to Vice’s head in the corner. Bright then follows it up with a moonsault and goes for a pin, but Vice kicks out. Bright then climbs to the top and looks to fly, but Vice catches her with a kick. Vice then hits Bright with a spinning back fist for the win.

After the match, Vice looks to continue beating Bright down, but Karmen Petrovic and Natalya make their way down to the ring. Petrovic and Natalya then begin brawling with Vice and Shayna Baszler and send them crashing out of the ring. Natalya then grabs a mic and Petrovic challenges Baszler and Vice to a tag team match next week.

We then see Riley Osborne and Chase U backstage with Ridge Holland. Riley apologizes for costing them the match. Holland says it’s okay and he just hopes Chase U can trust him. Thea Hail then hugs Ridge and says she trusts him. Ridge was happy and leaves. Thea then tells Riley that she has to trust Ridge now.

The lineup for next week’s episode of WWE NXT is then announced.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is the WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match.

WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match: No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey vs. The D’Angelo Family’s “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo

The match starts off with D’Angelo grabbing hold of Dempsey’s ankle before he sends him crashing into the mat. D’Angelo then puts Dempsey in a side headlock, then hits him with an arm drag. Dempsey then locks in a submission of his own, then hits D’Angelo with a couple of shoulder tackles. D’Angelo then rolls Dempsey up to score a pinfall in the first round. D’Angelo then sends Dempsey into the ropes and hits him with a few right hands. Both men then hit each other with strikes on their midsections and Dempsey puts D’Angelo in an Arm Bar with the second round coming to an end.

Dempsey then sends D’Angelo into the corner as round three begins and D’Angelo nails him with a right hand. Dempsey then looks to put D’Angelo in an Arm Bar, but D’Angelo blocks it and gets back up to his feet. Dempsey then transitions into a cross arm breaker, but D’Angelo rolls him up. Dempsey then kicks out and D’Angelo rolls him up again. Dempsey then kicks out once again and both men take turns pinning one another. Dempsey then sends D’Angelo crashing into the ring post shoulder first and follows it up with a German suplex for the win.

Round four begins and Dempsey hits D’Angelo with a back elbow. Dempsey then sends D’Angelo crashing into the mat face first, then hits him with a stomp and follows it up with elbows. Dempsey then stomps on D’Angelo’s shoulder. Dempsey then looks to put D’Angelo in another Arm Bar, but D’Angelo blocks him. Dempsey then puts D’Angelo in a Triangle, but D’Angelo gets up to his feet. D’Angelo then hits Dempsey with a powerbomb and a clothesline, then follows it up with a couple right hands and a belly-to-belly suplex. D’Angelo then hits Dempsey with a spinebuster and goes for a pin, but the referee is unable to finish the count before the clock runs out.

Round five begins and D’Angelo hits Dempsey with a flying right hand in the corner. D’Angelo then hits Dempsey with a German suplex as Damon Kemp and Myles Borne make their way down to the ring and attack Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino. Tony D’Angelo then takes them both out and sends Borne on top of Kemp on the outside. Dempsey then tries taking advantage and rolls up D’Angelo, but D’Angelo kicks out. D’Angelo then hits Dempsey with the Forget About It for the win.

We then head to the back, where we see Wes Lee, Josh Briggs and Ivar all laid out with equipment surrounding them. The camera then pans over to Gallus, who reveal themselves as the attackers as the show comes to a close.
