The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) is making headlines once again as President Billy Corgan revealed that the promotion has secured another television contract. This latest deal adds to the NWA’s growing portfolio of TV deals, highlighting the promotion’s rising popularity in the wrestling industry.
In a recent interview with TV Insider , Billy Corgan revealed that he recently signed another deal but it has yet to be officially announced. He added that NWA now has three television deals. This development further solidifies the NWA’s presence in the wrestling industry, particularly as an independent promotion funded entirely by Corgan.
“I just signed another TV deal, which I haven’t announced yet. I saw someone in wrestling media wave off the NWA’s success, but I don’t know a lot of companies out there that have three television deals as an independent solely funded by me,”
The announcement comes just ahead of the 2024 Crockett Cup, set to take place on May 18 at The O.C Theater in Forney, Texas. The tournament will feature prominent teams such as Knox and Murdoch (Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch), Blunt Force Trauma (Damage and Carnage) with Aron Stevens, The Immortals (Kratos and Odinson), and The Southern 6 (Silas Mason, Kerry Morton, and Alex Taylor) with Ricky Morton.
Additionally, the event will see EC3 defending his NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Sam Adonis. This bout, along with the Crockett Cup tournament, is expected to draw a lot of attention from wrestling fans. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more!
