Jey Uso, apart from being a top fixture nowadays for Monday Night RAW with his new YEETflies enveloping WWE arenas, had a huge part in assisting his ally, Cody Rhodes in finishing his story against Roman Reigns and winning the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40.
The leader of the YEET! the movement recently discussed an intriguing detail regarding his involvement in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 40 in an interview with Mail Sport‘s Alex McCarthy. Jey revealed that he was unaware of the planned events following his spear of his brother, Jimmy Uso, off the stage.
“I didn’t even know what was going down,” Jey explained. “They told me, ‘This is your part, here’s what you’re going to do.’ I’m like, ‘Alright, cool, I get to spear my brother off the stage, cool.’ I was so concentrated on my spot that I didn’t know what was going down until they told me the rest of what’s happening.”
After executing his part, Jey Uso quickly made his way backstage to continue watching the match as a fan. He expressed his excitement, calling it possibly the best main event in WrestleMania history highlighting his his favorite moment of the match being The Undertaker’s surprise appearance and chokeslamming The Rock inside the ring.
“I made sure after I did what I did to hurry up and kind of get to the back so I could continue watching the match, because I automatically turned into a fan again. I think it was the best main event in WrestleMania ever. My favourite part might have been when Undertaker popped up.”
A month removed from WrestleMania, Jey Uso has already contended for the World title and now is headed to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament following his triumph over Ilja Dragunov on RAW this week, where he will battle GUNTHER and the winner moving to the name-sake PLE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the finals.
