Things haven’t been going very well for WWE Raw stars, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. The duo was portrayed as two of the strongest and the most dangerous women in the entire locker room. However, things haven’t been going their way lately.
Both Baszler and Stark advanced to the second rounds of the Queen of the Ring tournament. However, on the 5/13 edition of WWE Raw, Baszler fell short to Iyo Sky while Stark lost against Lyra Valkyria, which got her both eliminated from the tournament. While this was just one instance, things haven’t been good for the duo in the past few months.
Following WWE Raw, both Baszler and Stark were interviewed backstage. Cathy Kelley went on to know the Queen of Spades’ thoughts. Baszler looked frustrated right from the get go and stated that she wasn’t sure if she was doing anything right, with a lot of stuff to figure out.
“I don’t know, Cathy. How do you think I feel, huh? Something isn’t working. Maybe I have this all wrong. Maybe my motivation for everything is all wrong. I don’t know, right? I’ve got some stuff to figure out, huh? You gonna point that out too? I don’t know.”
On the other hand, Jackie Redmond went on to know what was running through Zoey Stark’s mind. A frustrated Stark stated that she had to go back in the past and bring that dominating attitude back in herself.
“My thoughts? How would you feel in this very moment, something that you’ve been dreaming of your entire life? You’re so close. And it’s just ripped away from you. Here’s the thing, Lyra didn’t beat me. No, she— I just didn’t push her to the point I needed to push her. You know, I was just sitting here thinking before you rudely interrupted me. I need to go back to who I was when I first got here— I was winning, I was taking over the division. And now I lose to Lyra. You know what? Yeah. I think it’s time for Shayna and me to make some changes. And you know, I think those changes need to come sooner rather than later.”
With tough losses and eliminations from the Queen of the Ring tournament, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark have clearly hinted that they were going back in time to make things right. Though nothing has been revealed yet, the duo moving back to NXT won’t be a big surprise for sure.
