WWE is an ever-growing product that continues to change with the times and climate, introducing things that make fans more involved with the company. This includes the post-show press conferences.

In recent years, WWE has made a practice of hosting press conferences following major events, where top stars participate in Q&A sessions with media representatives. Chief Content Officer Triple H has also been known to address the press, including all sorts of questions.

While speaking on during Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk podcast, Mantell expressed his disdain for these post-show press conferences. He felt that much of the content was scripted and geared towards maintaining kayfabe.

Mantell emphasized the importance of transparency and called out WWE for not answering proper questions during the conferences, especially when it comes to injuries or something like the Drew Gulak accusations, where Ronda Rousey accused him of inappropriate behavior.

“I hate that stuff, I do. You know, if you don’t answer the questions, oh you’re kayfabing. That to me is luring somebody if you’re just gonna talk like storyline, so why even have them? If somebody’s hurt, you just report the facts. The other thing like the Ronda Rousey-Drew Gulak, I never followed that from the beginning anyway. I know what happened.”

In case you aren’t aware, WWE PR criticized a journalist for asking Triple H about Drew Gulak’s WWE exit. Regardless, WWE will continue to have post-show press conferences during the main Premium Live Events and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
