Kamille had been without a contract since her affiliation with the National Wrestling Alliance ended in 2023. Her remarkable tenure within NWA and her prowess in the ring have attracted attention from various wrestling promotions, including WWE and AEW. Reports have indicated that she has inked a deal with AEW. However, recent allegations suggest that AEW has neglected to inform Kamille about her future plans despite signing with them.
While WWE had shown interest in Kamille and reached out to her in recent weeks, her appearance backstage at AEW Dynamite on January 17 fueled speculation and raised questions about her potential future.
As previously reported, Kamille had signed a contract with AEW already. While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 OFFICIAL podcast, Konnan confirmed that Kamille has been signed with AEW since February, but noted how Kamille told him AEW had kept her in the dark about plans for months until just recently.
“I talked with her in February because we were gonna bring her down to Mexico for something. She was like, ‘I’m signed to AEW.’ And then she was like then like in March or April when I called her back, she was like, ‘Bro, they haven’t answered me.’ I go, ‘Are they paying you?’ She goes, ‘Yeah, but they haven’t answered me. I don’t know what I’m doing when I’m starting. Nobody’s answering me anything.’ And then finally the other day I talked to her again, and she was like…‘Uh, I think they already… they finally have plans for me.’”
Tony Khan remains tight-lipped about Kamille’s AEW contractual status as well. Now that it’s confirmed Kamille has joined AEW, fans are eagerly anticipating her debut on AEW television. There’s no doubt she’ll leave a significant impact on the company once she steps into the spotlight. It’s just a matter of time before we see her making her mark in the ring.
