Miro joined AEW in 2020 and quickly made an impact with his intense performances, eventually winning the TNT Championship. However, despite this success, his achievements in AEW have been somewhat limited. His recent absence from the ring has raised questions about his current status and future in the company. With that said, we now have an update on his injury status.
AEW World’s End last year witnessed Miro scored a major victory against Andrade El Idolo, thanks in part to a surprising betrayal by CJ Perry, who turned against Andrade during the match. Despite this notable win, Miro has since been absent from AEW television, raising questions about his status and future with the company.
AEW President Tony Khan recently revealed during the AEW Revolution media call that Miro and Keith Lee were initially scheduled to participate in the Meat Madness match at Revolution. However, both wrestlers were unavailable, forcing Khan to adjust his plans for the event.
While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp reported that Miro is still out of action due to injury. AEW hoped he would be on the shelf for three months but that didn’t happen.
“Miro, he is still sidelined. They were hoping he would only be out for two-to-three months but that wasn’t the case. I don’t know if he’s still injured but as of AEW Revolution, he was.”
Miro also vows to come back stronger than ever while he remains absent due to injury. It remains to be seen when the Bulgarian Brute will be able to make his triumphant return to AEW television.
