Britt Baker Went The Extra Mile to Train Ahead of AEW Return

Britt Baker faced a tough 2023 as injuries kept her largely off television. However, the former AEW Women’s Champion is recovering, and DDP recently shared an update on her training progress.

Baker has not wrestled since the September 16 episode of AEW Collision where she lost to Kris Statlander in a match for the TBS Championship, as she has been dealing with a nagging injury since then.

In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Diamond Dallas Page revealed that Britt Baker, one of AEW’s top stars, will be returning to the promotion soon after recovering from an injury. Page mentioned that Baker has been undergoing intense training as part of her preparation for her in-ring comeback.

“She’s been off TV for a while because of injury. She’s coming back, she looks amazing. Her body looks great and she was blown away by the pump that she got. She was live and ready to go. She was a little intimidated by the cold plunge, as most everybody is who has never done it. She got in there. It’s all mental. Within a minute, she owned it. She stayed for three minutes. It’s like 41 degrees. It was a great day all around. Just talking about the business, what she wants to do when she comes back and all of that. She’s a top talent. You’re looking at men and women, you’re looking at Britt. What she’s done as a character, as a promo, and what she’s done in the ring. I’m looking forward to seeing her get back.”

It was also reported that Britt Baker’s in-ring return is on the horizon. It remains to be seen when Baker will return to AEW television, as fans miss her now for good reason.
