Adam Copeland Reveals When He and Matt Hardy Mended Fences

One of the most controversial storylines to ever be seen in WWE featured WWE Hall of Famers Adam Copeland and Lita along with Matt Hardy. In real life, Lita was Hardy’s girlfriend and she cheated on him with Adam Copeland and this led to a ton of animosity. With that said, Copeland has now revealed when he and Hardy mended fences.

This ultimately led to Matt Hardy being livid and getting fired by WWE, only to be hired back so that he could feud with Edge and Lita back in 2005. The storyline truly blurred the lines between real life and kayfabe.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Adam Copeland was asked when he and Matt Hardy mended fences. Copeland revealed that it wasn’t that long ago and that the two Superstars still have the same chemistry after their beef.

“I mean, honestly, it wasn’t that long. I think kind of once we went through that and once we both realized, okay, still the same guys and still have the same chemistry, still have the same everything. So, I feel like the fan base took a lot longer to come around to the idea that we were okay than we did. It was pretty quickly, and then you just got to move on.”

Adam Copeland also didn’t enjoy anything about his controversial storyline with Lita and Matt Hardy. Regardless, things are much better between them now and that is all that matters.
