Sheamus made his return to the ring on RAW last month and immediately made his presence felt by challenging GUNTHER in the main event. Despite a valiant effort, he came up short and lost the match. Since then, Sheamus has made it clear that he has no intention of facing GUNTHER ever again.
This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW featured an intense match between The Ring General, GUNTHER, and The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. Accompanied by his Imperium partner Ludwig Kaiser, GUNTHER faced Sheamus with high stakes—the winner would advance to the King of the Ring event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The bout was a brutal clash, with both competitors delivering hard-hitting offense that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats, leading to chants of “This is Awesome!” The turning point came when GUNTHER locked in a half-Boston crab on Sheamus’ injured leg. Despite his resilience, Sheamus eventually tapped out, giving GUNTHER the win.
Afterwards, Sheamus noted that there won’t be a fourth match with GUNTHER. The Celtic Warrior took to Twitter and reiterated that he does not intend on having another match with GUNTHER, thus leaving the tally at 3-0 in GUNTHER’s favor.
”There aint gonna be no quadrilogy so 3-0 is the final tally. I am done. Some will argue he tapped, he used a weapon, he had outside interference.. ok! give him bragging rights, I fought fair & with honour. Those who cheat to win are only fooling themselves & the dim witted. 🫡”
We will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Sheamus now he is no longer part of the King of The Ring tournament. Fans simply want him to finally win the Intercontinental Championship and fulfil his goal.
