WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair sparked controversy after criticizing Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza in Gainesville, Florida, for what he called disrespectful treatment. A video of the incident circulated online, detailing what transpired, and now Ric Flair is considering filing a lawsuit against the restaurant.
Ric Flair voiced his dissatisfaction with Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, stating that after spending $1,500 at the restaurant and graciously posing for 20 photos with customers and staff, he was asked to leave following a dispute with the kitchen manager. His criticism gained public attention, prompting a closer examination of the events leading to his removal.
Flair claimed that the conflict started when he noticed the manager spending an unusually long time in the bathroom, resulting in a heated exchange. Following the incident, Flair warned others seeking a pleasant dining experience in Gainesville to avoid Piesanos. In response, the restaurant’s co-owner defended the decision to eject Flair.
“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant. It is clear that our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation, demonstrating our team values.”
A video of the incident made its way online yesterday and led to a ton of discussion among fans as well. In an interview with The Gainesville Sun, Ric Flair talked about the incident that took place the incident at Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza. Flair described going to the bathroom and being approached by a staff member using the restroom stall.
“I’m like, I don’t shake hands or take photos in bathrooms. Any man that goes into a bathroom knows you can see into the stall,” Flair explained. He told the staff member, “Get your a– off there, I need to use the restroom.”
Flair claimed the staff member was inside the stall, visible through the cracks, “texting away.” After exiting, a female employee allegedly called him a “peeping tom” and a “creep.”
“I’m not going to tolerate that, and you wouldn’t either. That’s a pretty offensive remark. I’ll be quite honest with you, I was pissed because I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Ric Flair, who is very clearly upset over the incident, made it clear that he might pursue legal action against the restaurant. In fact, he says he plans on buying it and renaming it Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro.
“I have the money to buy the restaurant,” he said. “It’ll be called Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro.”
We will have to wait and see whether The Nature Boy will end up filing a lawsuit against Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, as it’s very clear he is incredibly bothered by this whole ordeal.
