CM Punk is regarded as one of the biggest and most influential WWE superstars of all time, hailing from the great city of Chicago Illinois, that comes unglued in arenas every time they witness the sight of The Best in the World.

Being a proud native of Chicago, CM Punk decided to pay homage to another legend from the music industry hailing from his hometown, who passed away recently. He took to his Instagram stories to send out his respects to the musician, record producer, and founder of Chicago-based Electrical Audio studio, Steve Albini.

“We lost a giant. A total legend who I was delighted and privledged to get to work with. Steve Albini, Chicago Royalty RIP.”

Apart from acknowledging his Chicago natives who excelled in their own fields, CM Punk recently made a surprise appearance on RAW in search of his heated rival, Drew McIntyre, with whom he has been feuding since January after McIntyre injured his triceps and took him out of the WrestleMania 40 festivities.

However, Drew McIntyre also finds himself on the shelf due to an elbow injury caused by CM Punk at WrestleMania 40. With the verbal back-and-forth going on for months, it will be interesting to see them collide in a one-on-one showdown at a major WWE PLE.
