WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i, celebrated for his iconic tenure as one-half of the Wild Samoans tag team, has faced recent health challenges, prompting worries among fans. While he did undergo surgery after suffering a fall earlier this month, it appears he will be undergoing another different kind of procedure.
Afa Anoa’i previously suffered a fall that resulted in fractures in two distinct areas of his back. Given the severity of the injury, he was transferred to another medical facility to receive specialized treatment, raising understandable concerns among his supporters.
Reports indicated that he was scheduled to undergo back surgery to address the injury, but it was postponed due to health concerns, but thankfully, he did get back surgery back in March.
However, he is not out of the woods just yet. His daughter Vale Anoa’i took to Twitter and uploaded a couple of photos of Afa, revealing that he will be undergoing a heart valve replacement surgery this Thursday.
”Dad’s still got it! Look at that bicep! Not bad for 80 and recovering from back surgery! Keep him in your prayers, the heart valve replacement surgery is on Thursday.”
We will have to wait and see how the surgery will turn out for Afa The Wild Samoan, as family and fans alike continue to give him his best wishes for a successful surgery.
