Key WWE Name Set to Begin Duties on 5/7 NXT

The 2024 WWE Draft started last month on Friday Night SmackDown and continued on Monday Night RAW, revealing numerous draft picks. Now, it’s been reported that a significant name from the main roster will begin their duties on NXT this week.

As previously reported, Mike Rome is set to return to announcing for NXT, role he previously held from 2016 to 2019. Rome would then become a staple of Friday Night SmackDown.

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, it was reported that Mike Rome will begin his duties as an announcer on this week’s episode of NXT.

”Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has now learned that Mike will be on the call for tonight’s edition of WWE NXT, marking his first time announcing for the brand since 2019.”

We have also reported that Alicia Taylor will be making her main roster debut as an announcer going forward. We will have to wait and see how Mike Rome will fare as the NXT announcer after so many years.
