Jinder Mahal got a ton of coverage earlier this year when he contended for the WWE World Heavyweight Title on RAW, but recently made headlines for a very different reason. This is because WWE released him last month and now he expressed his desire to have a babyface run.

Jinder Mahal’s release came as a shock, especially given his history as a WWE Champion and his resurgence earlier this year. His unexpected departure left many fans questioning WWE’s strategy, particularly considering the company’s focus on international markets and maintaining a diverse roster.

The Modern Day Maharaja took to Twitter and uploaded a video, where he revealed he finally wants to have a babyface run since he didn’t get to do one as the Maharaja during his time in WWE at all.

”The thing that I missed out was having a babyface run, I think that would have been really good. You guys are getting a chance to see my personality on TikTok. I just recently did a Chris Van Vliet podcast episode. I got a chance to be myself and the response was overwhelming. I guess nobody saw this side of me and I think there’s a time and place for a big Maharaja babyface run.”

Jinder Mahal’s post-WWE name has also been revealed. It remains to be seen if Mahal will end up in AEW or any other major pro wrestling company this year, as Mahal is already receiving lot of interest from pro wrestling promotions already.
